Sona Cardiac Care embraces the concept of family-centered care by encouraging family support and visitation in an environment which promotes patient comfort, rest and safety.

We recognize that family and friends are part of the health care team and their support is vital to our patients’ recovery. Visiting hours for the intensive care units are limited and vary.

Generally, children below the age of 12 are not allowed into the Hospital to avoid risk of infection unless they require Hospital services.

The timing of visiting hours to see patient should be strictly followed as per the policy of hospital.

For further details about specific visiting hours and restrictions, do call the Hospital and ask the receptionist.


Only one attendant may stay with the patient in the ward/room. If more than one needs to stay they have to obtain the permission from hospital authority.

Flowers, and outside food are not permitted.

Avoid bringing coconut in the hospital; you may take coconut water in a separate container.

The visitors may be asked to leave the room if the patient’s condition so warrants or if hospital policies are not being followed.

Visitors at the Hospital can also have access to the Cafeteria, and Pharmacy – based on availability.

We have a dedicated counter at all our Cardiac Center for handling all the insurance related queries. At the time of patient admission the patient or the relative of patients prefer for cashless billing as per the terms of policy of Insurance.The necessary support for all this is provided by our team. There will be no hassle for the patient and the relatives to run from pillar to post for insurance. If the insurance policy covers the specific treatment, then the patient does not need to worry about it. The claim will be approved according to the rules and regulation of Insurance agency. The patient or the patient’s relative have to submit the insurance policy or the details of the policy within 24 hrs. of admission to gain the benefit of cashless billing. Insurance coverage does not cover for certain diseases and items at the hospital or covers only a part of it – individuals must therefore clearly understand the terms & the conditions of their insurance policy prior to admission.
